I have long decided that “New Trek” does not exist in my timeline but just for the sake of argument: Deep Space Nice did the mirror universe and it was cringe but campy enough to be funny and engaging. However, the mirror universe is not a plot excuse for idiots who don’t know the lore and try to hide the fact that they are completely inept to make a decent Star Trek movie by changing the setting to the “mirror universe”. This makes my blood boil.
Great review! The plot of that movie sounds like it took about five minutes to write. Probably on a crumpled napkin at a bar. It also sounds like Chat-GPT should get a writing credit.
